Meet My Family
Can I tell you that I absolutely love my family. I love spending time with them and of course I love taking their pictures. Due to distance and family lives my brother and I haven't seen each other in 2 years. So seeing him this past weekend was great for me. I was able to spend time with my brother and sister-in-law and my two nephews.
The sadness from my oldest nephew AB breaks my heart. He really didn't want to leave us. I wish we all lived closer but my brother still lives in our hometown in PA. My parents moved back to where my mom grew up in VA and I am in our second home SC.
Always remember that you have to take time to reach out to your family and stay in contact. By any means! Facebook & Instagram those are great ways to see daily what is going on in each others lives. However, there is nothing like a phone call to hear their voices and know they are okay. Even better a video chat to really look into their eyes and see them and feel what they feel.
Those are my girls above and what more can I say other than they inspire me and I love them more than anything. (I am also married and have 3 step-children whom I love VERY MUCH and I wish they could have all shared in this weekend but when you have 8 people in your household things get a little busy, and schedules don't always match.)
My parents, our mom and dad, their love is beyond anything I could have prayed for and everything I want to be to my kids. I love making my mom happy with the simple gesture of showing up and being present. My daddy below, I love his smile and his spirit is so amazing. I couldn't have asked for better parents. I LOVE YOU!!
So, you may be asking, where are you at Jean? Well, the craziest part of being the photographer is that you sometimes forget to take a picture of yourself. I can't believe I didn't get any pictures with my brother or family. None of me this time, sorry!
Always have someone take a picture of you in times like these. Don't be like me and forget about yourself.
